BHARAT PM : Narendra Modi

 

Narendra Modi is the current Prime Minister of India, having held the office since May 2014. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a Hindu nationalist organization. Before becoming Prime Minister, Modi served as the Chief Minister of the Indian state of Gujarat from 2001 to 2014.

Modi's tenure as Prime Minister has been marked by a range of economic reforms, efforts to improve infrastructure, and significant international engagement. His government has launched initiatives like "Make in India," aimed at boosting manufacturing, and "Digital India," aimed at improving online infrastructure and digital literacy. He has also pursued policies aimed at financial inclusion, such as the Jan Dhan Yojana, which aims to bring banking services to the unbanked population.

However, his leadership has also been controversial. Critics have accused his administration of promoting Hindu nationalist policies and undermining secular principles. Modi's handling of the 2002 Gujarat riots, which occurred during his tenure as Chief Minister, has been a significant point of contention and controversy.
